The White Box is a gastrobar that merges the popular concept of tapas with the creativity of haute cuisine at an affordable price, acquiring the eighth place in Cancun’s Top 10 Restaurants of 2018 by TripAdvisor.
The gastrobar concept first appeared in Spain in 2008, and was developed by several Michelin Guide restaurants and renowned chefs that were trying to bring fine dining to all audiences, without much luxury, but keeping the essence of haute cuisine in a harmonious and casual environment with smaller dishes.
The aesthetic of the restaurant seeks to overturn the traditional tasca, with a modern and chic style based on white and red colors; combining them with stunning views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea, from every table, creating an intimate, relaxing and informal atmosphere.
The White Box has two types of menu presentations, the classic written menu and a second one based on photographs that will open your taste buds from the beginning.
The menu consists of nine different food groups:
- Raw Options.
- Salted, Cured and Preserved.
- Stews and Rice Varieties.
- Sous Vide.
Each group is made up by an estimate of three to five dishes, with the best dessert option to fuse every group’s flavors; it is recommended that all the members of each party eat from the same menu group, although exceptions can be made. Nevertheless, food is not the only delicious treat that this place offers; this gastrobar boasts a wide selection of wine options and cocktails made with premium liquors that will transform each meal into an unforgettable one.
